Professor Wei Wei from Peking University HSBC Business School came to Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech). He was the first speaker at SUSTech’s School of Business Management Scholars Forum. Wei Wei spoke on the topic of "Theory and Practice of Business Models: Retrospect and Prospect" for teachers and students.
Wei Wei is the former Associate Dean of the HSBC Business School, Peking University. He is responsible for the Executive Masters of Business Administration (EMBA) and Executive Development Program (EDP) projects. He is currently the director of the Center for Business Model Research and the Enterprises Development Institute.
Wei Wei explained what a business model is. He also used his experience and knowledge from working with companies like Tencent, Huawei, Baidu and Haier. He expanded on the facts of each case so that the students could develop a more intuitive understanding of the business world, particularly when it comes to disruptive innovation.
Wei Wei provided a lively lecture full of content. Following his lecture, the atmosphere during the question and answer remained high.
