Professor Yang Ting has been engaged in marine seismology and marine geophysics research for a long time. His research direction is mainly to use seismic wave propagation and internal structure imaging of the Earth. He has developed a source-end seismic tomography method (3STomo). In recent years, Professor Yang Ting focused on the development and application of the wide-band submarine seismograph (OBS) for natural seismic observations on the seabed. He hosted the first large-scale passive source OBS array observation experiment in China. Currently, he leads the Undersea Seismic Instrument (OBS) Equipment and Engineering Laboratory of Shenzhen Southern University of Science and Technology, and cooperates with the Paris Institute of Geophysics (IPGP) in France to develop a new generation of broadband OBS and to use passive source OBS data. Research work on seafloor structure imaging and dynamic process inversion.
