Dr. Xinxin Li received her Ph.D. in Chemical Oceanography from Texas A&M University in 2013. Her research interests are application of stable and radiocarbon isotopes, organic biomarkers (e.g. lignin, pigment), and microbial community (e.g. Archaea) dynamics and processes to study marine organic biogeochemistry; the fate of organic carbon from estuaries, nearshore to trenches, and their interactions with eutrophication, hypoxia, and global climate change. She is a member of American Geophysical Union (AGU) and American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). She has published 11 peer-reviewed papers in Marine Chemistry, JGR-Biogeosciences, Geochimica et Cosmochimica Acta etc., with over 360 citations by Oct, 2018 (Google Scholar).
