Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering
Chenchang Zhan received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering and the M.Sc. degree in microelectronics from Fudan University, Shanghai, China, in 2004 and 2007, and the Ph.D. degree in electronic and computer engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), Hong Kong, China, in 2011, respectively.
He was an Interim Analog Design Engineer with VeriSilicon Microelectronics, Shanghai, China, from Dec. 2006 to Apr. 2007. He was a Post-Doctoral Research Associate with HKUST, from Sep. 2011 to Nov. 2012. He joined Qualcomm Inc., San Diego, CA, in Nov. 2012 as a Senior Engineer with the Power Management Integrated Circuits group, working on the design of high-performance power converters for future generations of mobile devices. He then joined the Southern University of Science and Technology, in Aug. 2014, as a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. His research interests include the analysis and design of analog, mixed-signal and power management integrated circuits and systems for a variety of applications, including but not limited to mobile / wearable devices.
Dr. Zhan was the recipient of the Best Paper Award in IEEE ISIC’2009, Singapore; the Best Student Paper Award (third prize) in IEEE EDSSC’2010, Hong Kong; and the Best Student Paper Award in IEEE ISCAS’2011, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He was also nominated for the Best Student Paper Award in ISCAS’2009. He served as a member of the Review Committee for IEEE APCCAS’2014. He also serves in the review boards of many international journals.
