Dr. Yang is currently an associated professor in the Department of Earth and Space Sciences of SUSTech and also adjunct assistant professor of Physics and Astronomy at Rice University. He graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Peking University in 2005 and earned his PhD degree in space physics at Rice University in 2009. He worked as a Postdoc from 2009 to 2011 and then as a research scientist from 2011 to 2018 at Rice. In July 2018, he joined Southern University of Science and Technology. Dr. Yang has published more than 20 refereed journal papers in JGR-Space Physics and GRL. His research interest includes Earth and planetary magnetospheric physics and space weather.
