Dr. Luo Dan received his B.S. degree in opto-electronic engineering from Tianjin University, China, in 2004, and the Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, 2012, respectively. From 2012 to 2013, he was a research fellow in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, NTU.

 

Dr. Luo joined South University of Science and Technology of China (SUSTC) in 2013, as an Assistant Professor in Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. His research interests include organic tunable laser, novel reflective liquid crystal displays, liquid crystal tunable photonic/terahertz devices, electrically/optically controllable light shutters/smart windows.

 

Dr. Luo has published 25 authored and co-authored papers. He was the recipient of 2011 Otto Lehmann Award, Germany; 2011Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-Financed Students Abroad; 2012 SPIE Scholarship in Optics and Photonics; and 2012 IEEE Photonic Society Graduate Student Fellowships.
