    Dr. Peng Yu got the bachelor and master degrees from the department of mechanical engineering at Tsinghua University in 1997 and 2000, respectively. He got his Ph.D. from the department of Physics at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2003. After graduation, he worked in City University for short time. Subsequently, he became a Humboldt Research Fellow and worked in the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany for two years. From 2006 to 2012, he worked at the University of Queensland in Australia as a senior research fellow. In 2013, he returned to China. He is now an associate professor of the department of materials science and Engineering in the Southern University of Science and Technology. In his career, Dr. Peng Yu was ever granted the awards of Humboldt Research Fellow, Queensland International Research Fellow and High-Caliber Personnel of Shenzhen Peacock Plan (Level B) ect. Dr. Peng Yu devote to fundamental researches on powder metallurgy of light alloys, metal matrix composites and porous metals. He is also interested in developing advanced powder metallurgy technologies based on powder injection molding and 3D printing, which are applicable to industrial fabrication. He has already published about 40 papers in international journals. His papers have been cited for more than 300 times, with an H-index of 11.
