The main duties of SUSTCEF is to accept the donations from the domestic and foreign associations, enterprises, trading companies and individuals, and establish the funding projects depending on the demands of the university and the wishes of the donors.

SUMMARY
Dr. Junguo Liu is a professor at Southern University of Science and Technology. His main research interests include hydrology and water resources, water footprint and virtual water, ecosystem services and management, coupled ecological and social systems, and water-food-energy nexus. Prof. Liu is author of over 70 peer-reviewed papers, including articles in Science (1), Nature (1) and PNAS (2). His articles have been cited for over 1100 times. He serves as an editor-in-chief of the Journal of Water and Climate Change. He is one of seven target leaders of the Decade Program 2013-2022 of the International Association of Hydrologic Sciences (IAHS). He is also the president of the Society for Ecological Restoration in Beijing. He has research experience in China, Austria, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, the U.K., and the U.S., among others. He is an expert consultant for many international organizations and NGOs, including UN-Water, UNEP, WWF, IUCN, and the Water Footprint Network, as well as for private companies such as Nestlé and the C&A chain of clothing stores. He is a senior visiting research fellow at the University of Leeds in Leeds, the U.K.; a visiting scientist at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA, Laxenburg, Austria); and the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research in Potsdam, Germany. He has research experience in China, Austria, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, the U.K., the U.S., and Canada, among others. He is the recipient of a string of awards, including the prestigious Outstanding Young Scientists Award from the European Geosciences Union in 2009, and the ProSPER.Net-Scopus Young Scientist Award as the winner in the field “Biodiversity and Natural Resources Management” in 2011.
